Ahoy, Vancouver! Ready to make waves this weekend?
Port Day is returning to Canada Place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m, and it’s shaping up to be boatloads of fun for the whole family.
This annual celebration shines a spotlight on our vibrant local maritime community with live music and performances, captivating on-water marine demonstrations, exhibitor booths, and more.
And the best part is it’s completely free to attend! Here’s a closer look at what to expect.
Catch live performances from music acts like Wyper & Parker, Big Easy Funk Ensemble, and headliner The Boom Booms, who’ll be keeping the energy high all day.
Then, at 2 p.m., get ready for splashy spectacles at the North Point, where you can watch the Burrard Inlet come alive with thrilling on-water shows.
Got little ones in tow? All new for 2025 is a lively Family Zone, where mini sailors can play on bouncy castles or crawl through mini gyms. Meanwhile, adults will be able to enjoy simulators by BC Ferries, Ocean Wise’s Sea Dome, and more.
Dreaming of life at sea? Or maybe just keeping things running smoothly from shore?
More than 20 organizations will be on-site showcasing careers in Canada’s marine sector. From working on deck as part of a crew to navigating ships, engineering, logistics, environmental protection, and more, there are opportunities for all kinds of skill sets and interests.
You can also take a stroll through the BC Maritime Employers Association Waterfront Community Zone along the west promenade to check out interactive exhibitor booths and meet the Canadian Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue, Jericho Sailing Centre, DP World Vancouver, and more.
Feeling lucky? Enter on-site for a chance to win a seven-day cruise for two from Vancouver to Alaska, courtesy of Holland America Line. It’s your chance to take all of this Port Day fun full sail into the open sea.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, Port Day is your perfect port of call! Grab your crew and head down for a day to remember.
