Also newly popular this year is Dax (like the Canadian rapper), trending up 616% this year. The name Chanel grew in popularity this year too.

Toronto is a multicultural city, so it’s no surprise that the most popular pet names have international influences too.

According to Rover, the cat name Minou is trending up 680% in Toronto, which is French for “Kitty.”

Dolce and Tokyo are also among two of the newly-popular names in 2022.

There you have it, friends! Did your pet’s name make the list? Don’t worry, you’re still a creative genius in our eyes.
