This Ontario village has a beautiful waterfront park with picturesque views

There’s a small village in Ontario you need to visit before the weather cools down. Point Edward is situated along the shores of the St. Clair River at the mouth of Lake Huron with waterfront views you won’t want to miss out on on a warm summer day.

According to the Village of Point Edward, ” Enjoy picturesque views of the water and passing boats from Point Edward’s Waterfront Park and walkway along the St. Clair River, or visit one of the other parks, trails, and walkways that dot the landscape here.”

Sounds like a summer dream, right?

The Waterfront Park boasts perfect views of The Blue Water Bridge which spans the St. Clair River between Point Edward and Port Huron, Michigan!

While you’re at the park a stop at one of the chip wagons, such as Albert’s Rolling Lunch, is a must.

According to Ontario’s Southwest Tourism, “The chip wagon is practically as famous as the twin bridges that connect Michigan and Ontario over the St. Clair River and has been a mainstay under Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia every summer for the past 50 years.”

“It only takes one try to see why so many people from across the world boast that Albert’s has some of the best fries anywhere,” it continues.

Summers in Point Edward don’t end there. The village has a large, fully serviced marina, an annual sailboat race, and fishing derbies in the summer while shopping and dining experiences are just steps away from the shore in the area’s downtown strip.

This is the perfect spot to visit this summer – add it to your list! Point Edward, we’ll be seeing you soon.
