Seattleites have all sorts of unique comfort food and personal must-try restaurants. One of those is Piroshki on 3rd – an OG spot that opened in 1994 that has appeared on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The business now has plans to expand, adding a new location on Seattle’s Capitol Hill.

If you’re unfamiliar with piroshkis, they are a popular food item that you can find on the streets of Eastern Europe. They’re sort of like turnovers or hot pockets with a variety of savory fillings and bun-like dough. Piroshki on 3rd also claims to have the world’s first vegan piroshki and they also invented the Pinoyshki (Filipino Piroshki).
