A jewellery shop you might recognize from your Instagram feed is coming to your city. Pilgrim is opening its first Toronto storefront in the downtown core.

The store is set to open soon at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre.

The jewellery brand describes itself as “Scandi-cool Danish design handmade with heart.”

Pilgrim was founded in Denmark over 40 years ago and currently operates five locations in Canada in cities like Montreal, Laval, Quebec City, and Ottawa.

“Our brand is at the forefront of the international jewellery scene, encouraging an extraordinary every day for every soul who wants to join our journey and wear jewellery to express themselves,” says their website.

All of their pieces are handcrafted and designed for sensitive skin. They are nickel free, plated with real gold or silver, and made on a base metal of brass or zinc.

Pilgrim says that its “hand and heart made” tradition is continued by a Canadian team in Montreal who supply the pieces sold here in the north.

The store also sells UV400-protected sunglasses and water-resistant watches.

In an interview with Retail Insider, Pilgrim North American CEO, Robert Hayes, said that Pilgrim will be testing out a new concept with its Toronto store.

The Eaton Centre location will be larger than its Montreal stores at 1,200 square feet, and will have a piercing studio inside, says Hayes.

The store is reportedly set to open in June, and Hayes says that it will host a grand opening event featuring DJs, free ear piercings, mocktails, and maybe even manicures.
