True to its name, Core Community offers Guided Core Classes for those wanting to dip their toes into the world of Pilates, with 50-minute group sessions designed to help strengthen and rejuvenate your body in both Kitsilano and on Main.

Note that those completely new to using Pilates equipment are encouraged to take a couple of align classes or Core Private sessions before jumping into the Guided Core Classes!

Align Pilates MVMT 

This studio offers classic pilates sessions geared towards participants working through injuries or pain points. Their low-impact workouts consist of over 500 exercises on a spring-loaded apparatus designed to keep your body and spine aligned as you move.

The studio offers both group and private classes, though newbies can try two group sessions for $40!

FORM Body Lab

FORM Body Lab is a luxury wellness studio with a blend of offerings under one roof. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, FORM has a dedicated team that will help participants get the most out of each session.

Guests can take their pick between group pilates classes, equipment pilates, and clinical pilates – which is overseen by physical therapists.

Lagree West

With multiple locations across the city, Lagree West is a popular option for full-body workouts. Their small group classes offer participants the chance to target their “slow-twitch muscle fibres,” building lean muscle mass and helping to increase their metabolisms.

Inferno Hot Pilates

For a higher-intensity pilates class, head to Inferno Hot Pilates, which offers a fun and challenging twist on the traditional pilates workout, combining cardio and muscle toning in a heated room.

Workouts here are performed on a yoga mat and towel, and are open to all fitness levels.

This Kits studio offers 30-minute classes suited for every body type and ability level. What’s more, each instructor has completed over 500 hours of comprehensive training, so you know you’re getting great instruction!

Newcomers get to try their first Intro to Pilates class for free, and can then choose between Reformer Flow (classic Pilates) and Cardio Sculpt workouts.

Dynamic Pilates 

Dynamic Pilates offers progressive pilates classes in Fairview, for those looking for a private session and consultation or semi-private (two people per class). So this is a great option for beginners, or those in search of one-on-one guidance through your workout.
