Get excited, Toronto! Our city has been chosen as the first in Canada to experience South Korea’s wildly popular bakery café, Paris Baguette.

The chain will open its first Canadian location in North York on March 23rd, 2023.

The 2,3000-square-foot location has seating for up to 20 guests as well as a “modern design with French architectural features,” the chain announced in a press release.

“An open kitchen provides a window into Paris Baguette’s expert bakers and cakers at work.”

Paris Baguette is described as a “neighborhood bakery café where communities come together over their expertly crafted baked and brewed goods.”

This location is the first of at least seven that are slated to open in Canada this year as the rapidly-growing chain expands its North American footprint.

Its growth in Canada will be concentrated in Ontario, focusing on the Greater Toronto Area.

Additional locations will also come to Alberta, namely in Edmonton and Calgary, as well as Vancouver.

Paris Baguette operates a whopping 3,600+ cafés in Southe Korea, and around 185 in China, Vietnam, Singapore, France, and the U.S.

The bakeshop sells a variety of gourmet sandwiches, cakes, baked goods, breads, and salads, as well as seasonal beverages, coffee, tea, and more.

Some of the signature treats at the Toronto location include Strawberry Soft Cream Cake and mochi donuts.

Paris Baguette is staffed by a team of “certified bakers, cakers and baristas” that are “brimming with talent and eager to share their perfectly crafted creations,” according to its website.

Now, Toronto residents can give it a try in the Yonge Sheppard Centre near Sheppard-Yonge station.

With so many new cafes to check out around Toronto, it’s a great time to be a coffee and pastry enthusiast in our city.
