Well folks, after a year on the dot of waiting, a major Toronto music festival has announced an in-person return and headliners as well! Of course, the only problem is that Veld Music Festival won’t be coming back this summer, but next. Here’s a little more information.

It’s crazy to think that it was just last February when Veld Music Festival released what was supposed to be its 2020 lineup. The massive festival had been hosting big names for years at that point, and last summer was set to be no different. The lineup primarily focused on EDM and rap, with people like Marshmello, Armin Van Buuren, and DaBaby all set to perform.

Well, we only got 2 names for the 2022 festival, but we’re already liking what we see. Turns out, not one but both of the headliners are returning, with both Marshmello and Martin Garrix signing on. Of course, this is also now very early in the process, so we can only assume more artists will be joining over the winter.

Veld is planning to return to Downsview Park, and all ticket holders from last year will be granted entry into the festival. So, we’ve definitely got some time to plan it out- we have a feeling that summer 2022 is going to be unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

While it’s not exactly what we were hoping for, we’re still happy to see that Toronto’s festival scene is ready to come back! Because well, we can’t wait for them to do it.
