We all love a good road trip, whether we’re driving across the country, staying in the state, or visiting our southern neighbors. It turns out that Conde Nast thinks our very own Olympic National Park is worth the road trip and we’d have to agree. Let’s check out their list of the Best National Park Road Trips.

The list from Conde Nast has no ranking but rather includes the best of the best options for National Park Road Trips. Here are the parks on the list:

Acadia National Park, Maine
Badlands National Park, South Dakota
Crater Lake National Park, Oregon
Denali National Park, Alaska
Everglades National Park, Florida
Glacier National Park, Montana
Isle Royale National Park, Michigan
Joshua Tree National Park, California

Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
Olympic National Park, Washington
Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
Shenandoah National Park, North Carolina, and Virginia
Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, Wyoming
Yosemite National Park, California
Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Capitol Reef National Parks, Utah

So why did our beautiful Olympic National Park make the cut? Well, it’s the “only U.S. park that contains oceanic coastlines, temperate rainforests, and alpine mountains” all within its borders. Not only that, but you can check all of them out in a day while driving through the park. That being said, you’ll probably want to spend more than just a few hours in this park.

Other notable mentions included a stay at Kalaloch Lodge, eats at FYABES Mexican Cuisine in Forks, and of course, stopping in Sequim to see the lavender blooms. So the next time you’re feeling antsy, why not grab the keys and head to Olympic National Park? Happy adventuring folks!
