It’s not every day that Washington gets a new resort, especially one with dome homes. A promising Indiegogo campaign is planning to bring Oculis Lodge – “the first dome-built short-term vacation rental to the Cascade mountains.” It’s unlike anything that our state has and here’s what we know so far.

Oculis Lodge is a resort comprised of several 700-square-foot domes designed specifically for an immersive experience of nature while maintaining all the comfort of home. The cabins are surrounded by 7 acres of land in Glacier, Washington which is just a 25-minute drive to Mount Baker or 2.5 hours from Seattle.

What makes these domes even more special is that they are both pet and family-friendly. The domes can sleep up to 6 people, 2 in the private bedroom and 4 in two separate queen beds in the loft.

Each dome has bedrooms, a communal living area, a dining area, and a 15-foot skylight perfect for watching the stars. In fact, from the loft beds, you can literally sleep under the stars as you’re right under the skylight. Outside guests can find a patio, heating space for yoga, fire pits, and a lounge.

Oculis Lodge has reached its full funding goal and still has several packages that you can purchase with a guaranteed stay upon the resort’s completion. You can learn more and book your stay which ranges from $359-$1,907 at its Indiegogo’s website.
