Toronto has a brand new destination to celebrate the holidays and it opens this week! Northern Lights is coming to the city for the first time ever, and it’s described as an “an unparalleled winter wonderland.”

Said to be the “most immersive outdoor holiday experience” in the city, Northern Lights will transport you to a world filled with the cheerful lights, sights, sounds, and feelings of the holidays.

It will have over 80,000 square feet of breathtaking installations and uniquely immersive experiences.

Some of the features include art installations, dazzling décor, a 25-foot illuminated Christmas tree, fun-for-all-ages games and activities, a holiday vendor market, and much more.

There are four distinct areas to check out, “each with its own exciting holiday theme and mood, and multiple jaw-dropping photo opportunities that are as beautiful as they are festive,” says Director Ryan Kruger.

You’ll enter the grounds through a 30-foot light tunnel — once you arrive, you’ll be greeted by larger-than-life toys, oversized holiday décor, and various light installations.

Then, you can wander around the Holiday Town Square, where you can shop in the market, play games, and indulge in delicious holiday-inspired food and drinks.

The other areas are a real-life Christmas tree forest called The Journey North and of course The North Pole, where you can snap a selfie with Santa or the Grinch, grab some milk and cookies, and experience what it’s like being one of Santa’s elves.

Plus, a portion of every admission ticket sold will be donated to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).

There’s so much to discover in this new larger-than-life holiday world, and it all begins on December 1st!
