There is nothing like the streets of Italy when it comes to Italian street food. But since we can’t all afford a vacation abroad every time we crave a saucy meatball panino, we do the second best thing. Visit Nonna’s Cucina for mouthwatering Italian food right here in Vancouver.
Yes, it is the same food truck that started serving drool-worthy Italian street food at Port Moody in 2021. Only now they have a brick-and-mortar location at Hastings Street that opened its doors to the public in April last year.
With this new restaurant, Nonna’s Cucina continues to offer the same authentic flavours, home recipes and incredible taste. It’s no wonder they’ve garnered somewhat of a fan following.
So, the new restaurant has a similar menu as the food truck only with more options. And thanks to their house-made everything– pasta, bakes, sauces, gnocchi and more– Vancouverites continue to obsess over it (guilty!).
By their own admission, they aren’t swerving “fast food,” they are serving “good food fast.”
Frankly, everything on the menu is worth chowing down. That said, there are a few fan faves that you just can’t afford to miss, foodie or not. Take look—
And now, the latest addition to their menu is the showstopper: Scrocchiarella, an authentic Roman-style pizza. Made with a special imported flour and a sourdough base, each slice offers a crispy crust that’s simply irresistible. Nonna’s Cucina continues to wow its customers with their commitment to using only the freshest and finest ingredients.
Tempted, eh? Well, here’s the best part— Nonna’s Cucina is now available on Skip the Dishes, UberEats and DoorDash. So, you don’t have to get out of your comfy sweats to enjoy their delectable dishes.
Bon appetít!
