We’re almost done with October and though it did treat us good, we’re excited to see what November has in store. With a new month right around the corner, that means more exciting things are to come, like new restaurants in Toronto to enjoy.

The city has so much to offer when it comes to the culinary scene that it feels like new restaurants are opening almost every week. And we’re not complaining.

Peaches Sports Bar

You can now enjoy stadium eats right at this new Toronto sports bar in the Parkdale community. We’re talkin’ about the sauciest hot dogs, smash burgers, shoestring fries, sandwhiches and so much more. Stop by for a drink, play a round of pool and watch the big game with some good eats at Peaches Sports Bar.

When: Monday to Friday from 3 PM to 12 AM, Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM 12 AM

The Parkdale eatery is a “day-to-night” concept brought to us by Evelyn Chick Projects, with “amazing food, delightful drinks, close friends and great vibes” all in one place. During the day, the restaurant operates as an Italian comfort joint called Pasta Cartl. At 7 PM, Simpl Things transforms into an entirely different concept called Eats by Betty, which serves Taiwanese-inspired bites into the early morning hours.

When: Pasta Cartl – Wednesday to Monday, 10 AM to 6 PM, Eats by Betty – Thursday to Monday, 7 PM to 2 AM

Check out parent company Gusto 54’s newest venture, Café ZUZU in Regent Park. The new cafe offers a lively and nostalgic nod to 1950s Italy, according to the shop. Not only will you be able to grab delicious Italian pastries and cafe goods, but the space will also serve as a bottle shop, co-working space, and restaurant for mouthwatering bites. According to the cafe, the restaurant and bar portion of the space will open in a couple of months so until then, we’ll enjoy some delicious croissants and cookies as we wait.

Evangeline is located on the 14th floor of the new hotel, offering panoramic golden-hour views and a cozy atmosphere with two roaring fireplaces. The bar is named after the first feature film out of Canada and the overall vibe is inspired by the creativity of the film industry. In addition to craft cocktails, local beers, wine by the glass, and sparkling bottles, the “cocktail party-inspired” menu features a variety of tasty bites and shareable dishes.

Stir fry, rice, dumplings, noodles, and more! So Famous is Toronto’s newest eatery for Asian cuisine. It’s the perfect take out spot for those late night eats!

This new food hub allows customers to create their own sushi bowl or stir-fried dish from the selection of fresh ingredients. Other items on its menu include Momo, Samosa, Sandwiches, and more.

When: Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 10 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 9 PM

Bonus restaurant: The Dog and Tiger


Okay we know it’s not a new food spot but The Dog and Tiger recently updated its menu to a a farm-to-table experience that should definitely be on your radar. The new changes support local farms, butcheries, fisheries, breweries, and wineries. Expect new goodies like its gluten-free and vegan Mushroom Caesar, House-Cured Lamb Bacon and a Beef Tartare you can’t skip out on.

When: Tuesday through Sunday from 5PM to 10:30PM (bar open until midnight, Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 2:30 PM
