8 new restaurants, bars & cafes you should check out this weekend in Calgary

When it comes to restaurants, Calgary is practically spoiled for choice – but who’s complaining? From cocktail bars and fine dining must-visits, there is almost always something new and exciting on the scene, so here are just 8 that we think you should try this weekend! Believe us, you won’t regret it!

SPACE ROBO CHICKEN

A concept straight out of a science fiction movie, Space Robo Chicken will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen in Calgary. With robot chefs and waiters, this futuristic spot serves a variety of items like drumsticks, thighs, wings, fries, salads and rice. Yum!

FORTUNA’S ROW

Located right along Calgary’s riverfront, Fortuna’s Row in the East Village is a must-try. Serving Latin American food, stunning decor and incredible drinks, you’re going to want to cancel your dinner plans and check it out sooner rather than later.

Love Italian food? Sorella has put a fresh (delicious) spin on some of your favourite dishes from pasta to salads – not to mention it’s a beautiful restaurant. With incredible options for both food and drink, you have to check this place out!

TRENO

Coffee and prosecco? While you may be thinking “say no more,” we have to boast about this incredible new spot in Calgary. Here, foodies can snap a picture in one of their super cute booths, sip something that’ll bring them back to life and grab a small (adorable) bite to eat – what’s better than that?

DRINKS AND SUCH

Described as “a chic destination for great food, late night drinks & entertainment,” DS Bar is meant to resemble the many Mediterranean beach huts and South American supper clubs people travel thousands of miles to visit. Soak up the sun, grab a bite and enjoy something a little different this weekend!
