Hybrid and remote work arrangements have become the norm in 2022, which is why the world’s largest flexible workspace and office provider continues to grow. And, they just announced Spaces coworking will be opening not one, but two massive new coworking spaces in Vancouver and Surrey.
IWG, the parent company which helps “people and their businesses to work more productively,” said that to help meet the demand, it will be opening five new Spaces coworking locations in Canada in early 2022, in both urban and suburban markets including Toronto, Ottawa, Dartmouth, Vancouver, and Surrey.

In Vancouver, a new space in the Broadway Corridor, dubbed City Link, will bring 40,000 square feet to Mount Pleasant, which IWG has found to be “Vancouver’s fastest-growing tech hub”. Meanwhile, the new King George Hub will offer even more space, with some 51,500 square feet planned.
“The pandemic has sped up the shift away from the traditional office towards a more flexible approach to the world of work,” said Wayne Berger, CEO, IWG Americas.
“Because the appetite for hybrid work has significantly accelerated, our brands and coworking locations globally have seen an increase in demand from companies looking for innovative, employee-centric, and ubiquitous work solutions for their employees, particularly in suburban areas and small towns and cities, which has been a real growth area for us.”
Both of the new coworking spaces in Vancouver and Surrey will be located close to major transit stations, and are set to open by May of this year. Keep ’em in mind if you’re feeling a little cooped up from working at your makeshift ‘office’ (AKA the kitchen table) this summer!
