New 17th Ave restaurant reveals plans for a big rooftop patio renovation

Since opening, the new 17th Avenue bar and restaurant Chakalaka has definitely kicked things off with a splash. The fusion restaurant features everything from hot stone Japanese dishes to frog legs and lobster fondue. And now, they’ve announced plans to revamp their rooftop patio.

The space currently occupies where 1410 Restarant and Bar was, and still features some of those familiar furnishings and table setups. But hey, it’s still early in the game, so we’re giving them a break while they work things out before the summer crowds roll in.

And besides, we’ve got a new rooftop patio to look forward to! Sadly, there’s no official opening date announced quite yet. But, looking at the renderings, the new space will feature a nice new pergola with plants throughout, plus an updated layout for seating. So, all in all, it should be a great option once it’s open.

Especially if you pair it with their tiki drinks. For updates, you can follow along via the Chakalaka Instagram page. Happy patio dining this spring, folks!
