A popular Netflix show will film its second season in Alberta this summer

Wild Rose Country is no stranger to major productions, so it should come as no surprise that the cast and crew of a popular Netflix show will return to Alberta to film its second season.

Based on a young adult novel of the same name, ‘My Life With The Walter Boys,’ follows Jackie Howard, a teen forced to start over on a Colorado ranch occupied by 12 boys.

From Heritage Park and The Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium to Cochrane RancheHouse, several locations in and around Calgary were featured in the first installment, but that list is expected to grow!

While it’s unclear where exactly they’ll shoot the next chapter, Nikki Rodriguez (On My Block), Noah LaLonde (Criminal Minds), and Ashby Gentry (Are You Afraid of the Dark), will be back in action this summer, as confirmed by The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA).

According to their website, production will begin on July 22nd, 2024 and continue until November 15th, 2024, so keep our eyes peeled!

Netflix loves Alberta and you never know who or what will be announced next.

It’s going to be an exciting few months!
