Spring 2024 has come and gone and June is nearing its end. With that, another National Indigenous Peoples Day has arrived and so has a variety of meaningful things to experience, see, and learn.
Celebrating heritage and culture concurrent with the Summer Solstice, here are just a few ways you can commemorate June 21st this year.
Featuring plant music in the Brainasium Outdoor Park, traditional Métis music and dance, stories, and a Dome show, Calgarians are encouraged to celebrate the Summer Solstice and National Indigenous Peoples Day at the TELUS Spark Science Centre.

In honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, enjoy a day of music, dance and expression! This year’s performers include Métis recording artists including Eya-Hey Nakoda, Armond Duck Chief, Craig Ginn, the Denby Family and Olivia Tail Feathers. It’s going to be spectacular!
