Wild Rose Country is a filming hotspot and while we’re not widely known as “Hollywood North”, we’ve certainly got a few impressive productions under our belt!

One of the biggest TV shows to have filmed in and around the area? Netflix’s ‘My Life With the Walter Boys,’ which was filmed in Alberta and quickly shot #1 on the Global English Top TV list after it premiered in December of 2023.

Based on Ali Novak’s Wattpad novel, the show follows Jackie Howard, a big-city teen forced to start over on a Colorado ranch occupied by 12 boys after losing her parents.

As you can imagine, with such a large cast, a tom went into bringing their world to life – but now we’ve got a better idea of where!

Thanks to the popular streaming platform, fans of the show can now take a self-guided tour of the show’s filming locations in Calgary, Kananaskis, Crossfield and Cochrane.
