Popular Toronto restaurant Myth, known for its Meditteranean-inspired menu, will remain closed following a devastating fire that tore through its restaurant on Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Brant St and  King St W just after 4:00 AM for reports of a 2-alarm commercial/industrial fire. It was soon revealed that dining destination Myth had suffered the heartbreaking blow.

“The entire team at Myth is reeling from the devastating news of a fire at our venue this morning at 4am on Tuesday, February 28th. We are in shock and disbelief but also incredibly grateful that no one was injured as a result,” shared a Myth spokesperson to Curiocity.

“As investigations continue, Myth is providing our undivided attention to local fire and police departments in whatever capacity they require.”

Not all hope is lost, however. Though the Myth team has a lot of work ahead, they are optimistic that it will be rebuilt in the future.

“We know that the coming days and weeks will be challenging, but with the support of our team and our amazing community, rebuilding is on the horizon,” shared the spokesperson.

And of course, due to the damages, the restaurant will remain closed until further notice.
