Seattle has had many beloved pop-ups come and go, especially over the course of the pandemic. One that stood out to many Seattlites was Mt.Bagel, a delivery bagel service that had many people in the city head over heels. Its departure also had just as many people heartbroken, but now it’s back and in a permanent location.

On April 25th, 2022, Mt. Bagel made the sad announcement that it would be moving from Washington. Then, on January 19th of this year, the shop announced that the bagel business would be returning to Seattle in a more permanent way.

The day is here and Mt. Bagel is finally open again and here’s what we know so far. In its new iteration, you can still preorder bagels for delivery. Preorders are on Fridays at noon on the bakery’s website, or you can head into the shop and purchase directly until they are sold out for the day.

“The retail element is new for us, so we’re going to start pretty simple,” said the business about the new, more permanent venture. “No sandwiches or toasting. Just whole, unsliced bagels, cream cheese and that’s it. We’ll be building that up to a more traditional bagel shop experience gradually.”

Enjoy!
