Famed fine dining chinese establishment, Mott32 is making its way over to Toronto with its first opening in the city – a second location in the Canadian market. Toronto welcomes new restaurant experiences with open arms so when news of a new opening caught wind, we needed to find out more!

Though the tea is still hot on this one as no further information has been revealed, Mott32 will be taking over the current restaurant space that Momofuku held for more than a decade.

According to PRESTIGE, Xuan Mu, the Co-Founder and Group Managing Director at Maximal Concepts confirmed to the publication that Toronto will be getting a Mott32 location and were in the stages of designing it.

“… We’ll have a new one opening in Toronto as well, in the Shangri-la hotel. We’re designing it right now,” said Mu.

Though there’s no opening date just yet as Momofuku plans to close by the end of the year, Mott 32 is currently in the process of hiring staff for the new location. They’re currently on the hunt for a General Manager and Restaurant Manager, according to Indeed.

This will be the restaurant’s second Canadian location following its opening in Vancouver back in 2017.
