We certainly don’t need to be told how fantastic Alberta is, but we’d be lying if we said that we didn’t appreciate the occasional shoutout.

Heck, we’d also be fibbing if we said that it didn’t mean a little bit more when it was done on national TV – just as it was this week on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

Featuring Daisy Edgar-Jones (Fresh, Normal People) and Pedro Pascal (Mandalorian, Game Of Thrones), yesterday’s episode was extra special for those north of the Montana border because coincidentally, both actors VERY recently filmed right here in the Prairie Province.

Another Alberta town to get apocalyptic make-under for HBOs ‘The Last Of Us’

Starring in the upcoming Alberta-shot series Under The Banner of Heaven with Andrew Garfield, Edgar-Jones practically lit up talking about Banff – which she said “was the most beautiful place” before completely roasting its name, and even mentioned that Calgary restaurant Model Milk was a personal favorite.

Pascal – who is currently shooting The Last Of Us for HBO in and around the area, mentioned that he had also been to the 17th Avenue spot and even shared that he had actually seen the Northern Lights for the first time while driving between Alberta’s two major cities.

If you’d like to watch (what may be) the most heartwarming roast in history – above is the 4-minute clip from The Late Late Show With James Corden, but beware – the word “Banff” will never sound the same.
