From complex concepts to themed eats and popup shops, our city’s nightlife is undeniably exciting, but every once in a while we just want to get back to the basics. This month, find solace at the bottom of a glass at the grand opening of Missy’s This That – a full-service spot in Calgary where a great night is only a drop away.
Serving an extensive selection of wine, beer and cocktails at every price point, Missy’s was born of the belief that a cool atmosphere, cold drinks and good company are really all you need to have a good night, and we’d agree.

“It’s just a really good bar,” Thomas Dahlgren, owner and operator of Missy’s (and creative founder for Bar Von Der Fels) told Curiocity.
Here, customers can expect taproom-like service where the focal point really is the drink menu; and while there will be cold snacks like charcuterie and a variety of cheeses, Missy’s will not have a large food list – though they will have baked goods from Calgary’s of Sidewalk Citizen including a key lime pie and a killer Nanaimo bar!
As for the space itself, day or night there will be plenty of natural light, natural zinc countertops and comfortable seating for both couples and groups alike.
Missy’s is projected to open before the end of February and while there is no set date yet – it’ll only be a matter of time until we can check it out!
