Here are Airbnb’s picks for most romantic stays in Canada this year

Valentine’s Day is hot on our heels and there’s nothing worse than a missed opportunity nipping you below the knees! This year, in hopes of helping northern love birds find their ideal nest, everyone’s favourite rental platform has shared their most romantic Airbnbs in Canada for 2022.

From coast to coast, the company has compiled a list of 6 stunning destinations perfect for a February getaway, an anniversary escape or a weekend retreat with your special someone.

According to the platform, cabins, chalets and cottages were the most searched for Valentine’s accommodations in previous years, so it was no surprise that these were the rentals that made the cut for most Romantic Airbnb’s in Canada this year.

In addition to this roundup, which was a part of a larger more global collection, Airbnb also shared other data regarding Valentine’s getaways in Canada.

The most eye-opening takeaway from this newly released information? Well, according to the platform, searches for stays with a fireplace were up 25% while rentals with Wi-fi were up by 20% compared to 2021.

This, of course, likely means that more people are more interested in getting some work done on their vacay, which would make sense considering the holiday falls on a Monday this year.

“With a majority of these romantic Airbnb’s offering Wi-Fi, some guests who are looking to keep that spark alive can extend their stays and embrace this year’s live anywhere trend,” Airbnb wrote in a press release. “With work-from-home changing the way people travel, you can embrace the spirit of Valentine’s Day every day and stay with Airbnb!”
