Chances are if you have a pretty strong sweet tooth and love for nostalgic treats, you’ve heard about Milk Bar. Home of the iconic Compost Cookie, Cereal Milk Soft Serve, and unique “naked” layered cakes – the concept was created in New York by award-winning (and Netflix-starring) pastry chef Christina Tosi.
She opened the first-ever Milk Bar back in 2008 in New York’s East Village, designing a “choose-your-own-adventure” space for guests to “taste, build, and play.” The brand has since skyrocketed with locations in Boston, Washington DC, LA, Las Vegas, Toronto, and now it is coming to Vancouver.
And with unique seasonal flavours like Apple Cider Donut Cake – you better believe we’ll be there right when it opens.
Other nostalgic treats that Milk Bar popularized include the Milk Bar Pie, birthday cake-flavoured treats, and even unexpected milkshake flavours like the PB&J Soft Serve Shake. Basically, take everything you looked forward to eating as a kid and imagine it in a milky, soft-serve form.
