There are all sorts of quirky things hidden across our state including a medieval village. To make things even cooler, you can actually visit the village and partake in real medieval festivals, dinners, and more. Camlann Village is hosting Midsomer this June and here’s how you can check it out.

On June 18th and 19th, the lord of Camlann Village invites you to Midsomer! You can enjoy the summer games, crowning the king & queen of summer, puppetry, magic, crafts, archery, and minstrelsy. All of this happens in Somersetshire, the ancient realm of Arthur the king.

Expect to be transported as a morning trumpet and proclamation opens the village gates upon the colorful world of Chaucer’s England in 1376. The pace is leisurely and everything does not happen at once. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience a small-scale, intimate Midsomer festival and leave behind the hectic 21st century for a day.

What’s more, you can also stop into the village’s restaurant, Bors Head, and order ale, wine, or mead with a hot lunch. Or you can purchase tickets for the wondrous Mid-somer Feast that begins in the early evening. You can learn more at Camlann Village’s website and as always, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance.
