This historic manor in Ontario serves high tea in an elegant glass room

Pinkies up! This fall, you can step back in time and indulge in a classic high tea experience at McFarland House, a place full of elegance, history, and scrumptious treats.

Tucked away in McFarland Park, this historic gem has been a fixture of Niagara-on-the-Lake for over two centuries.

Originally built by the Scotsman John McFarland at the turn of the 19th century, this house has seen its fair share of history.

According to Niagara Parks, it was a military hospital during the War of 1812 for both the Americans and the British.

Today, it stands tall as a monument to a bygone era and is the oldest property owned by Niagara Parks.

As you wander through McFarland House, costumed interpreters guide you through its fascinating past.

But the real treat awaits in the elegant glass-enclosed tea room overlooking the lush gardens.
