We love all things hidden and whimsical, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at this unique gem known as Martello Alley.
Tucked away in Kingston’s downtown, you’ll find this unique historic alleyway that’s truly one-of-a-kind.
This eclectic and quirky destination is a haven for artists and art enthusiasts alike.
Martello Alley is actually an open-air gallery where you can find original and printed artwork as well as a place to meet the artists and see their work in progress.
In fact, it’s the only art alley in all of Ontario.
The alley leads to a beautiful courtyard with charming artistic accents.
There is a gallery of original artwork at the end of the courtyard that still has the original limestone walls displaying the paintings of these artists.

Whether your bedroom walls or your Instagram feed could use a pop of colour, this is where you want to go for memorable photo ops and a special piece to take home.
The atmosphere is described as chill and relaxed, so stay as long as you’d like, especially on a warm day.
Artists are on site every day all year round from 10 AM to 5 PM, including Sundays.
