We’ve got a double whammy of TV-related news for you, folks! Not only has the latest project from Mike Flanagan officially kicked off in the city, but the ever-lovable Mark Hamill is in town for it. Curious about what to expect? So were we, so let’s dive right in!

The new project is titled The Fall of the House of Usher (based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story) and will be a limited horror drama series coming out on Netflix. Flanagan, who is the person behind The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, and Midnight Mass (which was shot around Vancouver) will once again be taking the reins.

And, he’s bringing back some cast members from his previous projects. Carla Gugino, who starred in both The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor, is back, and so is Carl Lumbly from Doctor Sleep. However, it’s not all returning names, as the Tony Award-winning actor Frank Langella is also joining the cast.

Of course, that takes us to one of the most enduring names in the world of movies- Mark Hamill. And naturally, the lovable Jedi had a little fun on Twitter prior to his arrival, before revealing that he was, in fact, in the city. Now, it’s time to see him put on some serious shoes for this project.

Which, by the way, will be filming in and around the city all the way until June! Keep your eyes peeled folks, you might just see a crazy set, or better yet, Hamill himself!
