This notable Magnolia home just hit the market & has downtown views

Magnolia is its own special place, basically an island, it’s somewhat isolated while remaining a vibrant neighborhood within Seattle. It has homes ranging from tiny to grand and brand new to heritage classics. But it’s not everyday that a home with unobstructed views of downtown becomes available, especially not one designed by a local architect.

This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home was built in 1900. It was originally strictly Tudor in its design but was later re-envisioned and expanded by local and notable architect Ralph Anderson. It’s current design features a mix of its original grandeur and a more organic architectural style.

Original details that remain include ornate fireplaces, bay windows, and pegged hardwood floors. Some of the newer design elements include oversized exposed heavy beams, clear cedar plank walls, and granite stone. Overall the home has a storybook feel that is rare these days in the city.

What’s more, the home is located only 10 minutes from downtown and 30 minutes from SeaTac. That means it’s a great spot whether you’re still enjoying WFH or heading into the office. If you’d like to see more of this Magnolia home you can visit Sotheby’s website. It’s currently available for $2.05 million so start counting those pennies!
