Here’s something to keep in mind when you’re planning your next trip! Lynx Air, a new low cost airline, has officially started flying out of Edmonton as of today. Here’s what to know about their plan.

Lynx Air only started flying this year, with their first-ever route being from Calgary to Vancouver back in April. However, the private ‘ultra-affordable’ airline has been expanding ever since, and now services multiple destinations across Canada.

Things are pretty limited on the local front, but it’s still worth mentioning. To kick things off, Lynx Air will have routes from Edmonton to Toronto and St. John’s five times a week. Then, service will expand to Halifax starting on July 30th, while the Edmonton-Toronto route expands to seven times per week.

So the variety is pretty limited, but sheesh, are the prices low. Base fares, depending on the date selected, can be as low as $15 for one-way flights between Edmonton and Toronto.

And last but certainly not least, Lynx Air is celebrating their first flight with a sale! From now until July 16th, travellers who use the code ‘EDMONTON’ will see 50% off base fares for flights between July 15th and October 31st. If you’re hoping to fly to Toronto for like, $60, we suggest checking it out!
