There’s something magical about gliding through a forest on ice, surrounded by towering trees and twinkling string lights. And that’s something that you’ll find along the LV Four Seasons Trail. This Ontario gem has transformed into a skating trail this winter, and at night string lights illuminate the path, creating a fairytale-like experience for skaters.

Pack your bags and sharpen those skates, your next scenic skating adventure awaits in Laurentian Valley.

How to get to the LV Four Seasons Trail

If you’re travelling from Toronto, hit the road early – it’s about a four-and-a-half-hour drive east of the city, minutes from the Quebec border. But those in Ottawa can get there in under two hours. If you’re looking for a last-minute, long weekend trip, a visit and stay in Canada’s capital city doesn’t sound too bad.

Especially if it means you’ll get to enjoy this winter experience.

What to know about the LV Four Seasons Trail

True to its name, this forested trail is a year-round favourite! But it becomes truly magical when it transforms into an ice path, winding through the trees like something out of a winter fairytale.

Stretching 1.5 km, this scenic trail offers breathtaking views as you glide through the forest. It’s clear that LV’s dedicated team of volunteers pour their hearts into maintaining the trail, ensuring everyone enjoys a magical winter experience.

That being said, the team really did their thing when adding lights to the skating trail.
