Chinatown is hosting a Lunar New Year celebration with cultural performances, activities, booths, and tasty food.

Some of the featured attractions are the Lion Dance, Chinese Folk Dance, Chinese Orchestra, Chinese Calligraphy, Zodiac Fortune Telling, God of Fortune, Mahjong Competition, and a Lucky Draw.

Lunar New Year at Vaughan Mills

Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit at Vaughan Mills.

The mall’s Event Court will be transformed into a “scenic landscape reminiscent of traditional Chinese gardens, complete with a cherry blossom tree, lanterns and a wishing tree experience,” according to the description.

Head to the shopping centre on Sunday the 22nd for entertainment, complimentary treats, and tons of in-store specials at participating retailers.

Lunar New Year at Scarborough Town Centre

In celebration of Lunar New Year, Scarborough Town Centre is transforming its Centre court with 9-foot-tall rabbits and Asian-inspired décor starting on January 18th.

The fun continues on January 21st with a lion dance and cultural performances attended by local politicians, as well as additional performances on January 22nd.
