New list reveals the best places for vacations in Canada this year

While we all know that Canada is filled to the bring with some of the best places for vacations in the world, it’s always nice to get a little love from elsewhere. Recently, U.S. News revealed it’s roundup of the world’s top travel destinations, including places to check out in Canada!

As you might expect, the roundup featured destinations across the country, from major cities to national parks. We’ll be honest and say that most of the picks were pretty standard, with the exception of Whitehorse as a, well, dark horse selection.

2. Jasper National Park, Alberta
3. Vancouver, BC
4. Montreal, Quebec
5. Quebec City, Quebec
6. Niagara Falls, Ontario
7. Victoria & Vancouver Island, BC
8. Prince Edward Island
9. Whitehorse, Yukon
10. Whistler, BC
11. Mont Tremblant, Quebec
12. Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland & Labrador
13. Toronto, Ontario
14. Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia
15. Okanagan Valley, BC

Well, what do you think of the list? We’re pretty surprised that Whitehorse beat out Toronto and the Okanagan ourselves. But hey, with the whole midnight sun thing in the summer and the northern lights in the winter, we could see why it edged them out.

Either way, consider this just an added bonus to what we’re sure is an ongoing Canadian destinations bucket list!
