Everything you need to know about Toronto’s Pride Parade this weekend

After a two-year hiatus, the time has finally come to celebrate the Toronto Pride Parade in person. This year’s parade is set to be a massive one with over 200,000 marchers and a sea of cheering spectators. We could not be more excited to dive back into this iconic celebration of love, so without further delay, here’s everything you need to know.

The parade will be held on Sunday, June 26, starting at 2 p.m. and will be the 41st in-person commemmoration held in Toronto.

As for the parade route, it will begin at Bloor and Church St, then head west, followed by south on Yonge St ending at Yonge Dundas Square.

Also happening this weekend is the Pride StreetFair, which will be dedicated to celebrating diversity and inclusivity for all, with family spaces, sober spaces, wellness centres, and designated accessibility routes.

The StreetFair will host a multitude of vendors, artisans and community organizations, plus tons of delicious food and exciting live performances.

A number of roads will be closed throughout the weekend for the parade and StreetFair. Here are a few of the major road closures listed on Pride Toronto’s website.

• Wellesley St between Church St & 81 Wellesley St — 12:01 a.m. on June 24 to 6 p.m. on June 26
• Wood St between Church St & 200 ft east of Church St — 6 a.m. on June 24 to 7 a.m. on June 27
• Bloor St. E between Yonge St. and Ted Rogers Way, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on June 26
• Yonge St between Bloor St. East and Queen St. East, 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 26
• Dundas St. E, between Yonge St. and Church St, 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 26
• Victoria St., between Dundas St. East and Shuter St, 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 26

There are many more closures in effect to accommodate the Dyke March, Trans Pride March, and the festival throughout the weekend, all of which are listed here.
