This town full of orchards & trails is known as the ‘fruit basket of Ontario’

Good things grow in Ontario, especially in this abundant small town. Known as the “fruit basket of Ontario,” Lincoln is a place where you can truly experience the wonders of nature.

Lincoln hugs the shores of Lake Ontario, and it’s filled with over 50 wineries, farms with fresh fruit and vegetables, flower farms, and stunning nature trails.

It’s home to fascinating heritage sites and world-famous attractions such as the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

According to Mayor Sandra Easton, Lincoln is a “progressive town with a rural and urban mix of a variety of activities for individuals of all ages and abilities.”

Info Niagara says that the best time to visit is in the warmer months when the region is overflowing with freshly-grown cherries and peaches.

But, the famous wineries in the region are worth visiting throughout the year — these include Malivoire, Thirty Bench, Cave Spring Cellars, Legends Estates, and Corner Stone, says Info Niagara.
