Thousands of white lights will adorn this massive tree in Quebec for its annual ceremony

Kick off the holiday season with a stunning tree lighting ceremony at the Canadian Museum of History later this month. And you’re in for some delicious treats, too.

The 8th annual tree lighting ceremony takes place on November 23rd and it’s absolutely free to enjoy. This marks the beginning of the Museum’s Christmas Market, as well.

All are welcome to enjoy the music and performance by l’Ensemble folklorique de la Gatineau and indulge in some sweet treats.

There will be free hot chocolate, gingerbread cookies, and maple taffy on snow.

And at 6 PM, gather around the massive tree to watch as thousands of white lights that adorn it, illuminate the night sky.

Though the event is free, it is ticketed! You can get your free ticket online here.

The tree will continue to illuminate the Museum’s Place until January 8th, 2024.

If you can’t make the tree lighting, you can still enjoy the Museum’s Christmas offerings during the holiday season at its festive market.

Expect over 80 exhibitors showcasing their handmade goods, treats, and more. If you’re looking for a unique gift, this is a great place to start.

It’ll be open Thursday and Friday from 11 AM to 8 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. And yes, it’s free too!

We’re just loving all these holiday events!
