Looking for somewhere to grab a bite with a view just as good as the company you’re with?
The Water Tower Grill in Lethbridge is described as having ‘unique food’ that you can enjoy with incredible panoramas of the city – but it wasn’t always a restaurant.
Built in 1959, the Lethbridge water tower quickly became an integral part of the skyline.
Meant to store clean drinking water, it was one of the most important structures in town – until it was obsolete.

Shortly before the turn of the Millennium, they updated their supply and the tower dried out but was left standing.
It wasn’t until 2003 when a local entrepreneur and architect purchased the building that it was active again, now as a restaurant for the whole city to enjoy.
60 metres off the ground, guests can now enjoy two levels (one for casual dining, the other for formal dining) and everything from steak and bacon-wrapped perogies to haskap cheesecake and espresso martinis inside the tank.
Want to get some fresh air? Instead of travelling back down the 165 steps, or taking a 10-second elevator ride, take a walk around the 360° ‘aerial boardwalk.’

It’s certainly not every day that you get the chance to eat and drink in a water tank.
