The largest pool in all of Canada can be found right here in Ontario. Make your way to the Byng Island Conservation Area where you can spend the day in the massive pool.
It’ll take you about 90 minutes to get there from Toronto. But trust us, it is worth it!
According to its site, Byng Island provides access to the Grand River and Lake Erie for paddling, fishing, and sailing. It spans 190 hectares and is made up of Carolinian forests, wetlands, and creeks, states the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA).

But, one of the biggest (if not biggest) highlights of this area is its outdoor swimming pool. It is two acres in size and can hold up to 1,000 people. It also has a diving board.
Given the popularity of this pool, it may reach capacity, especially on hot summer days. So make sure to check its real-time capacity updates online before you visit.
Per the official website, the “largest outdoor pool in Canada” will be open until Labour Day. Pool hours are from 11 AM to 6:30 PM, and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
For visitors aged 4 and older, a wristband is required for entry and it costs $2.75.
You only have a few more days to enjoy this massive pool so plan your weekends accordingly!!
