Looking for something different in the city to see? A new exhibit featuring some stunning lanterns arrives in Edmonton this week. And, we’ve got all the info you need to know before it officially opens!
Originally created for the Deep Freeze Festival, the works of @gabsArt (Gabrielle deGouw) have been selected for the first-ever artist in residence project at CO*LAB. She’s the person behind some of Deep Freeze’s most iconic installations, including that massive whale lantern floating around.

The exhibition, called “Gabs and the Mammoth Lights” will officially open this Thursday. However, we think the best way to see it is at the upcoming Spring Equinox party at CO*LAB, which goes down on Saturday. That way, you can enjoy some beverages, hang out by the fire, and celebrate the arrival of spring! Of course, you’ll get to see all the art at the same time.
Official hours to simply check out this new lanterns exhibit in Edmonton will be announced soon. And, we’ll make sure to update this page when it happens!
