According to Muskoka’s tourism website, “The Township boasts picturesque landscapes, over 100 pristine lakes, unique cottage resorts, distinct cultural attractions, and outdoor activities for every season.”

Lake of Bays is circled by four hamlets,  Baysville, Dwight, Dorset, and Hillside, according to the Township ,there’s an 80 km loop that connects each spot, making for a beautiful scenic drive!

Dorset is located on Lake of Bays in Trading Bay, featuring the historic SS Bigwin steamship and the very popular Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower.

Baysville is in the southern part of the Township, home to the Baysville Dam.

Dwight is just north of Lake of Bays, known for being a quiet spot with beautiful marinas and yummy local bakeries.

As for Hillside, the area is also quiet, home to many artists’ studios, and the Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve.

Lake of Bays is also known as a summer playground, so if you’re all about outdoor fun then you’ve stumbled across the perfect place.

One of the biggest attractions here is Ragged Falls.

The falls were named one of the 10 best waterfalls in Ontario, located along the Oxtongue River.

Getting to the falls isn’t hard, roughly a 1 km hike to the beautiful cascade from Oxtongue River-Ragged Falls Provincial Park‘s parking lot.

Lake of Bays is your next summer stop, Ontario!
