Summer is here and it’s bringing the heat, luckily Alberta has plenty of places where you can cool off. One of these sunny day getaways? Lake Edith in Jasper National Park.

With breathtaking views and stunning blue water, this glacial-fed beauty was once named among Parks Canada’s list of ‘Magical Beaches to Explore,‘ and for good reason!

Located 10 minutes from Jasper, visitors can fish, hike, paddleboard, kayak, and most importantly, swim surrounded by mountain peaks and trees – though it’s worth noting that the water is fairly shallow.

For this reason, however, Edith is a dynamite destination to wind down and live it up thanks to its soft sand.

Want to get up to high-energy shenanigans? Bring your cooler, bathing suit and hat to Lake Annette which is adjacent to Lake Edith.

With more turquoise-coloured water, cooking shelters, and metal fire rings this area is also a fantastic spot for families, friends and date-seekers! What could be better?

Summer won’t last forever, so get out there! The window isn’t wide, but it’s open!

Happy visiting and enjoy.
