It’s almost that time of the year again when Canadians can celebrate the nation’s most beloved dish. La Poutine Week returns next month and you’ll soon be able to treat your taste buds to poutine creations from local restaurants.

The annual festival is presented by People Mover Technologies Inc. and with the help of their exclusive delivery partner DoorDash, brings the event back for an entire week with more flavor and fun.

From February 1st to 7th, participating restaurants across the country will show off what they got in the world of poutines, from traditional to unconventional creations.

Participating cities include Banff, Calgary, Churchill, Edmonton, Gatineau, Kelowna, Montreal, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Quebec City, Thunder Bay, Toronto, Vancouver, and many more.

“As we enter our 12th year, we’re grateful for the support of our community, the dedication of our restaurant partners, and the enthusiasm of our participants,” said co-founder Na’eem Adam.

“Together, we’ve turned La Poutine Week into a cultural celebration that brings joy to people’s lives. Here’s to another year of delicious poutine, unforgettable moments, and the incredible journey that is La Poutine Week.”

During this gravy-filled week, after indulging in the featured menu, customers will have the chance to vote for their favorites on the official website.

There’s also a new points system where customers can redeem them for poutines. Those with the most points could qualify to win DoorDash gift cards.

This year the festival expects to see about 800 restaurants participating.

As for who will be participating, they will be announced at the end of January.
