A free street festival is taking over King West for TIFF next month

It’s almost TIFF season here in Toronto! The star-studded annual festival is taking over our city this September, and it’s inviting movie lovers and celeb-spotters back to its vibrant outdoor celebration, called TIFF Festival Street.
Festival Street will occupy a large stretch of King Street outside of the TIFF Bell Lightbox theatre, from Peter Street to University Avenue.
This year, festivities kick off on September 5th and will run until the 8th.
According to organizers, “there will be fun, free activities for all ages, including the TIFF Art Market in partnership with Toronto Film School, where Toronto’s local film festivals and arts organizations will have booths sharing art exhibits, programming information, and more.”
Additionally, this year, TIFF says it has partnered with the Toronto Downtown West BIA for a fun Festival Scavenger Hunt with prizes to be won.
Details will be shared later this month on all the festival activities, along with the new scavenger hunt!

The 2024 Toronto International Film Festival kicks off on September 5th with David Gordon Green’s Nutcrackers starring Ben Stiller, and will close with Rebel Wilson’s directorial debut The Deb on September 14th. Both films will be making their World Premiere at Roy Thomson Hall as part of the Gala programme this year.
If you’re wondering what stars will be in attendance, Amy Adams, Cate Blanchett, Will Ferrell and Zoe Saldaña are a few of the confirmed names!
Happy almost TIFF, Toronto!
