If you thought this year’s meteor showers were over, you’re in for a big surprise. It turns out that we have yet another meteor shower visible in the city this month. So be sure to keep your eyes on the sky because the Eta Aquariid Meteor Shower is coming to town and you don’t want to miss it.

Now, this meteor shower is definitely one of the tamer ones happening this yea, but we won’t see another in Seattle until July. So if you’re an avid stargazer or just a lover of streaking flashes of light, you can’t miss this because it is your last chance to make a wish before the summer. The showers will actually peak this Tuesday night into the early morning of Wednesay.

If you watch closely you’ll see about 10 to 20 meteors an hour. But if you forget to watch tomorrow, the meteor shower actually continues for almost the entire month until May 28th. That being said, you probably won’t be seeing any massive fireballs but it’s still a chance to make a wish so don’t waste it!

As always, try to find the darkest spot near you for the best results when watching the Eta Aquariid Meteor Shower. And if you end up seeing a star or two be sure to let us know. Just don’t tell us what you wished for because that ruins all the fun. With that, happy star gazing and we might just see you out there.
