Well, YYC, if you find yourself in and around the area of Inglewood, keep your eyes peeled for film trucks, cameras, and vampy warrior badass, Kate Beckinsale. Filming has officially begun in Calgary for the upcoming series, Guilty Party, and thanks to @InInglewood on Instagram there’s picture proof!
As we reported earlier this year, Beckinsale will lead Funny or Die’s half-hour dark comedy as a discredited journalist who dives deep into a domestic murder case in hopes of reviving her career.

Though they’ve actually been on various sets in and around the area since February, this is the first documented sighting of the cast (that we’re aware of, anyway) so it’s pretty exciting!
Of course, it is worth noting that Guilty Party is not the only TV show being filmed in the city right now! Joe Pickett, starring Michael Dorman (Daybreakers) and Fraggle Rock, starring pure nostalgia is also in town, with more to come including The Last Of Us, HBO’s live adaption of the popular video game, starring Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones).
Honestly, we wouldn’t be surprised if more were on their way because Calgary is gaining some major cred. Watch out Vancouver, we’re coming for your Canadian crown!
