Here’s a movie that we know we’re going to want to watch. Yesterday, news broke that the famous actor Kal Penn was going to produce, and star in, a new biopic all about the Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia. Of course, Bhatia is much more than a guy with season tickets, and has his own awe-inspiring life story.

First announced on Deadline, the biopic will try to cover Bhatia’s story, starting with his arrival in Canada, building his own car dealership empire, and of course, his decades-long support for the Toronto Raptors.

Of course, that culminated with Bhatia not only participating in the championship parade when the Raptors won the NBA Finals in 2019, but also getting a championship ring for his nonstop support. Oh, and he’s also the first fan ever to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

The announcement comes the same week as the release of the new CBC documentary about Bhatia, which is also called Superfan. Our thoughts? This guy deserves all the love he’s been getting!
