On July 22, the Edmonton EXPO Centre will turn into a massive fair with rides, games, culinary delights, concerts and a lot more. What will follow are 10 whole days of fun and excitement. You guessed it right folks, K-Days is back!

With something for everyone, the fair seems to be ready to exceed expectations this year. So, we rounded up a list of 9 things you absolutely need to check out at K-Days 2022. You know, to help you prep for the 10 best days of summer. And also to ensure you don’t miss out on anything amazing.

Spotlight Stage Concerts

One of the highlights of K-Days is the musical talent it brings forth. And for anyone who wishes to enjoy a toe-tapping live concert under the stars on a budget, the Spotlight Stage has you covered. The stage will host concerts every night of K-Days. And it’s covered in your admission ticket so they’re technically free.

By now we know better than to underestimate the K-Day rides in their thrill-inducing capacity and their numbers. And this year is no different. There are a good 21 rides for kids and another 29 for us grown-ups. Whether a tame Merry Go Round gives you giggles or a wild roller coaster gets your adrenaline pumping, there’s plenty to choose from.

New Must-Try Foods

C’mon people, the gourmet delights are one of the primary reasons we love the fair as much as we do. And they’ve taken culinary innovation up several notches this year with their New Must-Try Foods. In addition to the BaconFest YEG and K-Days BBQ, there’re tons of inspired experiences to indulge in. Think Cotton Candy Noodles, Maple Glazed Bacon Oreo Donut, Mini Donut Corndog, Samosa Poutine… you get the idea!

Imagine Monet

Imagine Monet is a collection of some of Claude Monet’s popular paintings procured from different parts of the world. These Impressionist and Abstraction masterpieces have been converted into a larger-than-life experience with this exhibit. Art enthusiast or not, this is an experience you can’t afford to miss.

Indigenous Experience

As the name suggests, this is where you will experience a whole lot of Indigenous for 10 straight days. From education to entertainment to story-telling to the craft market and multiple exhibits, this will be a truly captivating experience. There will also be an Indigenous Art Walk, a Metis Healing Garden and food offerings by Metis and Inuit Villages.

Urban Farm Tours

The urban farm is back on the K-Days ground. And so is all the farm fun— learning about bees and vegetable gardening, tasting the delightful home-grown honey, feeding a laying hen. Urban Farm Tours has quite a bit to offer.

The Grindstone Theatre: Jason Kenney’s Hot Boy Summer

When you’re done riding the rides and stuffing yourself up with all the delicious grubs, The Grindstone Theatre has a laugh riot planned for you. Enter: Hot Boy Summer, The Musical. If you haven’t already caught this political comedy starring Jason Kenny, well you’re missing out big time. So, be sure to make room for it on your K-Days calendar.

Kids Zone

Yes, there are kids’ rides. But the Kids Zone is quite literally a fun and learning treasure trove for the little ones. There will be fun attractions like Reptile Display, Mini Legends and Fitset Ninja. Then there will be role-playing opportunities where kids can work at construction sites, save lives as doctors or even be a librarian. And of course, the entertainment stage too.

Edmonton Stingers

This is your chance to cheer on your home team, enjoy a thrilling game AND get free entry into K-Days. Catch the Edmonton Stingers game at the HIVE arena on July 23rd and/or July 27th. They use that ticket to get free entry into K-Days. Oh, and on all game days, you can ride the ETS for free for two hours before and after the game. Cool, eh?

That concludes our list folks. Make sure to enjoy them all! And do check out the K-Days website below for more deets.
