Alberta’s own Jurassic Park reopened for the season and now has a ‘stay & play’ option

Dino fanatics, nature enthusiasts and fun lovers, we’ve got some great news for you. You know the dino park, aka Jurassic Forest, just outside of Edmonton? The very same one that happens to be the largest animatronic dinosaur park in North America. The exact same one that we frequent ever so often come warm weather. Well, the J Forest now lets you play and stay in nature. Thanks to their partnership with the Goose Hammock RV Resort.

The RV resort is the park’s answer to your ‘I wish I could spend some more time here’ prayers. And quite an apt one to that.

The well-equipped resort is just a hop away (a 5-min walk, to be precise) from Jurassic Forest. And boasts some 100 spacious sites well-equipped with 30 to 50-amp hookups, fire pits, equipped public washrooms and central septic dumping services.

Basically, they have you covered whether you are spending a weekend in nature or are on a week-long vacay. Also, the staff here is pretty warm and helpful. So, you’ll get the help you need to settle in comfortably.

Frankly, with everything the dino park had to offer, a stay is just what we needed to take our experience to a whole new level of epic. 2 km of boardwalk Discovery Trails, an Interpretive Centre, a playground area and a newly-renovated 18-hole Journey to Extinction Mini Golf Course are hardly a day’s itinerary.

Oh, and how can we forget the outdoor snack bar, aka the Cretaceous Concession? With a rotating selection of hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, popcorn, and many other treats, the snack bar will keep you delightfully full all day long, seven days a week.

So, lug them bags to the RV and gear up to fully enjoy the outdoors. And if you want to save some time, grab your tickets online at the Jurassic Forest website.
